Creating Backups

CourseLit stores all of its data, including media and database files, under a single directory on your server. The location of this directory is the same one which you specified at Step #4 of the installation wizard. The default location is ~/courselit-data.

You can simply take a backup of this directory on your server using any tool. Once the backup is created, you can download it or store it on some server.

If you are constantly uploading new content, take frequent backups of your data so as keep everything backed up.

Restoring Backups

To restore a previous backup, simply extract the contents of your backup archive to the location you specified at Step #4 of the installation wizard.
