Rich Text Editing

Learn how to author media rich text content

CourseLit uses a custom text editor based on DraftJS which allows you to effortlessly embed common web media like YouTube videos, tweets etc., while supporting usual text editing features like bold, italic and lists etc.

You can access all the common text editing features from the toolbar located at the bottom of the editor.

Embedding Images

You can embed images from your own site or from elsewhere on the internet using the image add button you see on the editor's toolbar.

Embedding from your site

Navigate to media item you want to embed in your post by visiting the Media side menu, click on the edit icon (pencil icon) of that item to open the preview section and copy the direct URL from the preview section.

Head over to the text editor, click on the image embed button and paste in the URL into the text box that pops up at the bottom of the editor, just above toolbar.

Embedding from an external source

Get the direct URL to the image you want to embed. Head over to the text editor, click on the image embed button and paste in the URL into the text box that pops up at the bottom of the editor, just above toolbar (see above image).
